The Bradley Beach Business & Community Alliance, created in 2019, is a nonprofit 501c 6, devoted to its mission to bringing business, residents, non profits

and the municipality together in a collaborative partnership to strengthen our businesses, enhance resident life and engage the community. As an Alliance, we

connect our town through shop local campaigns, business support, neighborhood engagement, community events, and non profit programs in a positive way!

Q: What is the Bradley Beach Business & Community Alliance (BBBCA)?
A: The Bradley Beach Business & Community Alliance is a 501(c)(6) non profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Bradley Beach, New Jersey. We work to support local businesses, host community events, and foster a sense of togetherness within the community. The BBBCA Board Members and the Alliance Advisors are all volunteer positions and the organization employs two part-time consultants who support communications, membership, and administrative tasks.

Q: What do you do?

A: We provide support and promotion for businesses, engage residents in civic engagement programs, support our non profit members, organize BBBCA community events, and host member-only events. Q: Are you a chamber of commerce?

A: No, we are not a Chamber of Commerce. Chambers of Commerce are typically composed exclusively of the merchants and traders of a city while the BBBCA is made up of businesses, residents and non profits. The 501(c)(6) non profit status of our organization requires us to allocate expenses solely to grow our non profit organization and serve more businesses , individual residents and other non profits.

Q: What are the funding sources for BBBCA?

A: The BBBCA is funded by membership dues, plus markets and sponsorships.

Q: Do you receive funding from the Borough of Bradley Beach?

A: We collaborate with the Borough on town events and may receive and/ or pay for support from the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Police as needed.

However, we do not receive direct cash funding from the Borough.

Q: How can I become a member of the BBBCA?

A: Becoming a member of the BBBCA is easy! Fill out the membership application form here on our website as either a business, resident or non profit member.

A: As a resident member, you will receive special promotions and discounts with local businesses (which are listed on our website), have the opportunity to meet other

A: Yes, you can. Part of our mission is to bring our business, community, and the municipality together to enhance the lives of both full-time and part-time residents.

A: Absolutely, yes. Renters make up over 50% of Bradley Beach and are an important part of our resident population.

A: As per our Bylaws, both General and Home-Based Businesses may join if they are within Bradley Beach or Neptune City.

A: As a business owner, joining the BBBCA strengthens your connection with the community. We provide opportunities for networking, marketing, and participating in

community events. You will have a platform to promote your business, connect with other local business owners, and help make Bradley Beach a thriving community. Every

month we sponsor Boost Bradley Beach , featuring business promotions via social media within Bradley Beach and nearby towns.

A: We are committed to supporting the success of our business members and are eager to assist in promoting your events and promotions. There are two ways to get the

word out. Just keep in mind that we are here to assist, but please allow some time for us to review and process your requests.

1)Newsletter Inclusion: If you’ d like your information to be featured in our newsletter, please send an email to NewsAndSocial@BradleyBeachAlliance.org. In your email, provide

all the pertinent details of your event or promotion, including date, time, location, special offers, and any images or graphics you'd like us to include. Our team will review your submission for potential inclusion in our newsletter.

2) For Social Media Sharing: To have your information shared on our social media channels, create a post on your own social media account about your event or

promotion. Be sure to tag us with our social media handle, which is @bradleybeachalliance in your post. This will alert us to your content, and we will consider reposting it on our social media platforms, extending your reach to a broader audience.

3) Post on BBBCA sponsored public Facebook called Celebrate Local:Bradley Beach.

We regularly update our website and post event information on our social media profiles. We also distribute a weekly resident and monthly business email newsletter.

Q: What types of community events does BBBCA organize?

A: The BBBCA hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including markets at Riley Park, community activities, movies in the park, and other activities that

bring residents and visitors together. These events aim to create a vibrant and connected community. Many events are for all – Menbers and non members.

Member only events are also planned to bring all members together and also, we bring business members together for networking and business support.

The Borough of Bradley Beach, Tourism and Recreation Center also sponsor community events as do other Bradley Beach non profit organizations.
